In March 2016, Nudge Global appointed Citrus Tree Consultants to undertake a strategic review of their online digital presence and back office systems. In a project spanning six months Citrus Tree Consultants undertook several projects, delivering each of them on time and within budget.
Nudge Global www.nudge-global.com are a financial education specialist improving the financial literacy and wellbeing of their clients’ employees. They use data, mobile technology and behavioural psychology to provide a personalised and ‘in the moment’ experience to their Nudge community.
One of the challenges facing high-growth technology companies is that their growth out-strips their market presence and position. A dated website, misaligning strategy and sales, was holding the organisation back. An audit and comparative review with other FinTech companies was undertaken and a new website built.
In an example of bi-lateral trade post Brexit, after receiving competitive tenders from both the UK and New Zealand, the website build was awarded to hairyLemon, www.hairylemon.co.nz a leading digital agency based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Comparatively, hairyLemon was able to offer more functionality and a deeper offering compared to their UK counterparts. “In short, we received more bang for our bucks. We now receive and track genuine leads daily from our website that integrate straight into Salesforce.” CEO Tim Perkins of Nudge Global said.
Another example was the migration of the financial system across to a software as a service (SaaS) cloud based environment. While the client was aware of Xero accounting (www.xero.co.uk), the fact that was a New Zealand innovation was not initially known.
Using technology primarily sourced from New Zealand, Citrus Tree Consultants was able to introduce quality vendors to Nudge Global. The resulting deliverables were of a high quality and service offering, reinforcing the fact that geographical location is no limitation in the global market place.
The ability to ‘work while we sleep’ is an outsourcing model well understood in London and the United Kingdom. Having an organisation such as Citrus Tree Consultants collate and manage the requirements during the day, in preparation for a twelve-hour turnaround created an environment of urgency with a high quality end result.
Brexit provides a very real and unique opportunity for New Zealand companies to engage with the UK. The depreciation of the UK pound has made doing business in the UK significantly less expensive. Citrus Tree Consultants provides on the ground support, backing your UK presence with real people and a real office.
